TECH-TAKEBACK is an electronic pop-up shop but it is reverse retailing!
We want you to bring in all your old, unused electronic gadgets-get them out of cupboards and drawers and let’s get them working again. It is estimated that 40% of unused electronic gadgets are hoarded in drawers and cupboards lying idle mainly because people fear what might happen to the data on those devices (photos, contacts, info, banking details etc) and because they are unsure of the correct place to take them – we aim to resolve this dilemma for people in Brighton and Hove!
The Tech-Takeback team can data-wipe your items and then assess for repair, reuse, resale, upcycling or recycling. You can choose to keep items, donate them to charity or get us to handle them to their chosen next life.
The shop starts on Black Friday 24th November and only runs for 10 days until Sunday 3rd December to coincide with the “Black Week” which has grown from “Black Friday” and “Cyber Monday” – the reckless consumer period ahead of Christmas.
4 more such Pop Ups will happen in 2018.
